Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the games, applications, and services provided by Lorewright Studios (“Lorewright,” “we,” “us”), including Echoes on Meta Quest. By downloading or using Echoes, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Your use of Echoes on Meta Quest is also subject to Meta's applicable terms and policies.

Your license to use Echoes

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use Echoes for your own non-commercial entertainment, subject to these Terms. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the app except as permitted by law.

Beta software

Echoes is currently offered as an open beta. That means the app is still in development: features may change, be added, or be removed, and the service may occasionally be interrupted or contain errors. We provide the beta on an “as is” basis so that players can experience it early and help shape it.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Echoes. If you are under the age of majority in your location, you should review these Terms with a parent or guardian.

Community Story Hub and user content

Echoes includes a community story hub where you can create and share stories (“user content”) with other players.

• You retain ownership of the user content you create.
• By submitting user content to the hub, you grant Lorewright a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute that content within Echoes and its related services, so that it can be shared with and played by other users.
• You are responsible for the content you submit, and you confirm that you have the rights to submit it and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.
• All user content and conduct must follow our Community Code of Conduct.

We may remove user content and suspend or terminate access for content or conduct that violates these Terms or the Code of Conduct. You can report content or conduct on our Support page.

Our intellectual property

Echoes, the Lorewright Studios name, and all related software, artwork, audio, and branding are owned by Lorewright Studios or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Echoes is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lorewright Studios will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or relating to your use of Echoes.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Echoes after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
