This Privacy Policy explains how Lorewright Games ("Lorewright," "we," "us") handles information in connection with our games, applications, and services, including Echoes on Meta Quest. It describes what data we collect, how and why we use it, and how you can request that your data be deleted.
We collect as little as possible. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
What data we collect
When you play Echoes, we process the following limited information:
1. Meta account entitlement information
When you launch Echoes, we perform an entitlement check through the Meta platform to confirm that you are authorized to use the app. This may involve a Meta-provided user identifier used solely to verify ownership and access.
2. Game progress and settings
We store your in-game progress, choices, and settings — for example, which stories and levels you have played and your saved preferences — so that you can continue where you left off.
3. Community Story Hub submissions
If you choose to create and submit a story to the community story hub, we store the content you submit. Content you publish to the hub may be shared with and played by other users of Echoes.
We do not collect analytics, advertising identifiers, or tracking data beyond what is described here.
How and why we use your data
We use the information above only to:
- Confirm that you are entitled to use Echoes.
- Save your progress and settings, and deliver the core features of the game.
- Operate the community story hub, including hosting and sharing the stories you choose to publish.
- Maintain the safety, integrity, and proper functioning of the game, including reviewing reported content.
We process this data to provide the service you have requested and to keep the experience working as intended.
How your data is shared
We do not sell your personal data. Content you publish to the community story hub is, by design, shared with other Echoes players. Data processed through the Meta platform (such as the entitlement check) is handled in accordance with Meta's own policies. We may disclose information if required by law.
How to request deletion of your data
You can request that we delete the data we hold about you — including your saved game progress and any stories you have submitted to the community story hub.
To make a request, email contact@lorewrightstudios.com with the subject line "Data deletion request." Please tell us enough to identify your data (for example, the username or account associated with your submissions). We will process verified requests within 30 days.
Children's privacy
Echoes is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at contact@lorewrightstudios.com and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be reflected here, and we encourage you to review this page periodically.
